Helping Your Child Talk - Made Simple

Speech and Language Therapy is no-doubt a complicated practise, but you don't need a degree or training to support your child's communication at home. With the right approach, consistency and a bit of patience, real progress can happen through everyday play and connection!

At LittleTalk, we believe in using simple, proven methods that have stood the test of time. Our exercises are designed around Blank Levels of Questioning, also known as the Language of Learning model - developed by Blank, Rose and Berlin all the way back in 1978! Over the years, this model has been used and refined by Speech and Language Therapists to consistently develop children's verbal reasoning and abstract language capabilities.

Our exercises are designed and tailored to support children developing their answers to Blank questions. Each exercise will introduce your child to a new level of the model. You will see them develop their abilities step-by-step, all the way from answering basic questions like “What is this?” to more complex questions that require abstract answers like “Why do we need an umbrella?”

Think and Find - Identifying Concepts

Think and Find is an activity designed to enhance children's language skills and cognitive development. This exercise helps children connect tangible items with abstract concepts, facilitating deeper understanding and language use. By associating specific items with broader concepts, children learn to identify items based on similarities and differences, aiding in information processing and decision-making.
